Joseph E Amoroso

Joseph Evan Amoroso, 57, of Holly Springs, NC passed away on October 14, 2023 surrounded in peaceful love with family and friends. Joe was born on March 22, 1966 in Rochester, NY to Joseph F. and Patricia A. Amoroso. Joe graduated at McQuaid Jesuit High School and received his Bachelor’s degree at St. Bonaventure University, where he developed lifelong friends. Joe also acquired his MBA at Rochester Institute of Technology. After living in Rochester for many years, he and his family relocated to Holly Springs, NC in 2001. Joe was a successful sales manager/director in the pharmaceutical industry for many years. During his career at UCB, he also developed lifelong friends. Joe is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Trish) Amoroso. Joe and Trish were married on October 26, 1990 and enjoyed almost 33 years of marriage. Joe is also survived by children Joseph (Amy) Amoroso and Jack Amoroso, father Joseph F. Amoroso, siblings Jeffry (Susan) Amoroso, Kimberly (Gregory) Lesperance, Matthew (Vicki) Amoroso, William (Gina) White, Charlene Rowe and mother-in-law Phyllis White. He is also survived by his uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews that he cherished dearly. Joe is predeceased by his mother Patricia A. Amoroso, grandparents Joseph and Mamie Amoroso, Patrick and Sara Colella, father-in-law William White and brother-in law Wesley Rowe. Joe had a soft spot for the furry friends in his life, John Henry, Reggie, Mia, Frankie and Harper, treasuring each and every one like the valuable family member they are/were. Everyone who knew Joe knew how much he liked music. Although the last few months were tough for him to formulate sentences, he never forgot a music lyric. During his final week, his favorite music was played for him. Joe was an avid sports fan. He rarely missed a New York Yankees or Pittsburgh Steelers game. Joe will also always be remembered for being the “nice guy”. He never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with anyone. We could not have asked for a better husband, father, son, sibling, or friend. Joe’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. A funeral mass and Inurnment at the Columbarium will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20th at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Road in Apex, NC. In true “Joe” fashion, we would like to invite all to celebrate his life after the mass at his local hangout, Tapline, 1100 Kentworth Drive in Holly Springs. All his favorite music will be playing while we celebrate the wonderful man that made us all better for knowing him.
